Home Theatre in a high end house of Belgravia - London

On this project AVITHA was requested to bring a Home Theatre solution that could be installed in a Living Room previously decorated and without the possibility to centralise the system in another room, as well as having to integrate it with the rest of the systems of the house, a Savant Home Automation and multi room audio and video, Lutron smart lighting and climate control.

AVITHA provided with bespoke cabinets with a minimalist design and used some of the best Home Theatre equipment around the world: McIntosh receivers and amplifiers, Waterfall glass speakers, Cisco switches and more.

This system is the dream that any audiophile could have, as well as being a Home Theatre that can cope with the most demanding specs from the AV world, being Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision supported there is nothing that cannot be listened or watched with this system. And what’s best is that the client just loves it.

Here’s what makes this Home Theatre System great:

– Audio Video Processor McIntosh MX122 delivering legendary quality and performance standards to any audio and video source and/or endpoint connected to it.t.

– McIntosh MB100 media bridge to connect all web based and hard drive stored digital music at uncompressed and lossless 24-bit/192kHz Hi-Res audio.

– 2x McIntosh MC301 monoblock amplifier with 300 watts of power for each Left and Right speakers allowing this system both Hi-Fi and Home Theatre features and achieving an all-in-one system.

– 3x Pro-Ject Amp Box DS2 Mono amplifiers with 205 watts of power and audiophile PWM circuit (Pulse Wave Modulation) for Center and Surround speakers.

– 5.1 Set of Waterfall speakers: 2x Niagara for Left and Right, 1x Elora Evo for Center, 2x Victoria Evo for back-surround and 1x HF2-250S subwoofer all at the vanguard of worldwide elegance and innovative technology.

– Integration with Savant Home Automation System, which for this house is using a Savant Pro Host built-in an Apple Mac Mini. It’s the brain of the whole automation system of the house and not only allows for all control and automation but is the server for all the user interfaces and the system administration and monitoring.

– Using Savant SmartControl12 to control triggers, relays and serial communications for this room. I.e. switching on/off amplifiers, fireplace, etc.

– Savant Remote Control, the most elegant remote out there, with a high resolution touchscreen and voice control integration with Siri.

 

– For Power Control the all-in-one solution SurgeX SX2213-RT, EMI/RFI filtering, Inrush Current Elimination and Catastrophic Over/Under Voltage Shutdown. Made to protect the valuable equipment installed.

– Multi room video distribution from Atlona, using an Atlona HDR-EX-100CEA HDBaseT 4K 60Hz 4:4:4 Receiver at the Home Theatre end and an Atlona AT-OPUS-810M Matrix on the main rack where the rest of the centralised system is.

– Network switch from the number one networking company worldwide “Cisco” and their Cisco SG-200-08P. Allowing for advanced security and connecting all the devices to the network as well as remote maintenance and monitoring.

– 4K Video sources: Apple TV 4K and Sky Q 4k each of them made for the entertainment and with all the best video and audio options a system like this can handle.

– An FME Motorised TV Floor Mount from Future Automation, allowing to automatically turn the TV towards your preferred spot of the sofa.

– Samsung 55″ TV Q8C Curved QLED 4K allowing for HDR10.

– Integration with Lutron Smart Lighting, HomeWorks QS. Using Lutron for the whole house the scenes were integrated with the Lutron Smart Lighting system to provide with automated presets and voice control which will bring the Movie time to higher levels, switching the favourite lighting mood at the right time.

– Integration with Climate Control from Honeywell, allowing to set the right Daikin AC or Underfloor Heating temperature or even switch on/off the Nu-Flame fireplace along with the rest of the scenes and Home Automation.
