A recent report from Statista predicts that smart home technology will experience massive growth over the next five years, as integrated hub controls from the likes of Google and Amazon make it easier to centrally control a wide range of gadgets and devices within the home.

According to one of world’s leading research and advisory company Gartner, the number will increase to 20 billion IoT devices by 2020. Thanks to the rise of cloud computing and home automation technologies, we can now control our smart homes remotely while on holiday or to keep all our digital properties synchronized to all smart devices.
